summertime fun on the Guadalupe River, or chowing down at the Grist Mill?
But what about golf?

Vaaler Creek Golf
Course is undoubtedly one of the best golf courses that
you will find anywhere in the state of Texas. The
reasonable green fees; the layout of the course; the
friendly staff and unmistakable beauty that surrounds
you; they all invite you to bring your clubs and play
our area's newest and finest golf course!
From the Summit Vacation Resort, to
reach Vaaler Creek Golf Course you need to go west on
highway 306 which is less than five minutes from your
front door. When you reach highway 281 make a
right turn (north). Travel approximately 12 miles
on 281 until you see a large, black water tank on your
right. The entrance to the golf course is less
than 200 yards further on your right. Here is a picture of

Total
driving time from the Summit Vacation Resort about 30
minutes. When you enter into Rockin' J Ranch you will
drive through the gate and proceed past the sales
office. Approximately one mile past the gate you
will come to a 4-way intersection. Continue straight
through the intersection another 3/4 of a mile until you
come to Jeff Vaughn Road. Turn right and you
will drive 1/4 mile and the pro shop/reservations will
be on your right.
